At Grow, we're big fans of the work of Core Arts in Hackney so for the 3rd year in a row we're putting a team of runners together to take on the Hackney Half Marathon on Sun 19 May 2019 to help support them!
This 13.1 mile route takes you all around Hackney and goes past both Grow and Core Arts along the way so we think it's the perfect combo to get fit, have fun and raise some money for this amazing charity - all at the same time.
Core Arts has 24 years promoting positive mental health and wellbeing through creative learning. Providing quality education, training, employment and social enterprise initiatives that enable people who experience mental health issues to overcome barriers, fulfil their potential and participate fully in their community.
They also work with our partners at Hackney Wick Boulder Project on an amazing project to help people with mental health issues as part of our Mental Wellbeing Boulder Project
Everyday they show how art, commununity can change lives and demonstrate just how vital art is.... Let's come together to show our support!
JOIN THE TEAM
If you want to join in but don't want to run, just come along to Grow on Sun 19 May 2019 have have some food and drinks as we'll be donating 10% of the profits from the day. If you want to run with us, here are 3 simple steps:
1) If you already have a place on the Hackney Half OR are still able to get one - please check the Hackney Half Website to see if places are still available…
2) Email email@example.com to register your place (we have a limited number for the team so don't delay). On the day, we'll have a table reserved for us all to unwind after the run. In return for your effort, lunch and 2 free drinks are on us!
3) Share this JustGiving link and ask friends and family to donate whatever they can - this is a team page so no pressure to raise money on your own but we do ask that you try and raise a minimum of £20 each so we can add that together to raise vital funds and awareness for Core Arts.
