Spring has sprung, so join us to celebrate at the first of Grow’s Future Fair! This fair is designed to provide consumers with the most sustainable products and experiences whilst enjoying music and the canalside space of Hackney Wick.
Stall holders are carefully selected for their environmentally and socially conscious ethics, challenging the status quo through conscious consumerism. Stall holders will sell their goods which either reuse, recycle, upcycle, are second-hand/vintage, zero waste and good for our wellbeing. We will also have family-friendly activities and DJs playing records celebrating music from around the world.
We want to share the principles of mindful and ecological permaculture design and ideas that consider the circular economy. Grow itself is an creative space with bar and kitchen and studios which is founded as, and continues to operate as, an experiment in ethical and sustainable business. We experiment if its possible to stay financially sustainable whilst: paying London Living Wage; using eco-electricity and eco cleaning and recycled products; sourcing locally and sustainably wherever possible; working in partnership with independent and ethical enterprises wherever possible; use organic and fairtrade wherever possible, offer free entry events wherever possible to share music, art and community workshops.
This event is part of a year-long series of events called Grow Change! based on the theme of self-organising community action and its role in society.
