As a nation of pie fanatics, it often seems that we love nothing better than a wholesome pie and with British Pie Week (5-11 March) just around the corner, Slow Fire London is going heavy on handmade pies all week, culminating with a special day of pies on Sat 10 March.
Every week, Pete the Slow Fire chef selects seasonal produce from local markets; Smithfields and New Spitalfields Garden for his menu but for this event will be rolling his sleeves even higher to make pastry and feisty fillings for meat eaters and vegans alike.
From the bar, we have craft ales, IPAs and ciders, organic wines and a range of soft drinks. On the day, we will be recommending which ones we think will go best with the pie of your choice!
